This week I’m crafting the leather watch strap worn by Brad Pitt’s character Cliff Booth in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I saw this movie recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, being a leather crafter I knew I had to recreate the watch strap for my next video.
The watch used in the movie is a vintage Citizen 8110 Bullhead.
I’m using a Seiko SKX007K Automatic Diver watch for this project.
The leather here is a Tan Montana side 3-4oz thick I picked up from Tandy Leather Factory a while back, which matches the color of the strap in the movie pretty well.
The hardware on the strap is 22mm ZULU nickel plated buckle and loop from buckleguy.com
Thread used is Ecru colored light-medium weight waxed polycord from Maine Thread Company.
