Fashion is the best part of the Super Bowl. For some they watch for the big game, the rest of us are there for the show stopping performances. Who can forget Beyonce’s Formation performance or when Lady Gaga flew? Not only were the dancing and singing on point, so were their outfits. Their performance outfits were to die for.
Shakira and Jennifer Lopez gave us serious bling. Their outfits were hand-adorned with Swarovski crystals. Each outfit took days to complete. Jennifer Lopez paired with Versace while Shakira went with Dundas. Lady Gaga also had on Versace outfits during her halftime performance. Katy Perry went with Jeremy Scott for four outfits. They were very fun, whimsical and on-the-cheek. For Roar, she had on a flame dress to parallel her lyrics. For California Gurls, she had a beach volleyball dress. For Firework, she became a literal shooting star gliding through the air. With Missy Elliott they had blinged out outfits. Madonna’s outfits were done by Givenchy, Ricard Tisci had nothing but praise for her. Beyonce tapped smaller designers such as Rubin Singer and DSquared2. Besides the clothes, the singing and dancing are top notch. Even when female performers weren’t the headliners they stole the show, case and point, Gwen Stefani.
