Beyonce on the Red Carpet MET Gala 2014 with Jay-Z

All eyes were on Queen B at last night’s MET Ball and Clevver Style has the fashion rundown. The MET Ball is the absolute who’s who of the style world and an annual opportunity to show off couture gowns and to also take fashion-forward risks. And if there were a king and queen of this year’s black and white themed ball, well then Beyoncé and hubby Jay Z would most definitely be wearing crowns. Bey chose an edgy, sexy sheer gown by Givenchy, which was lined with spikes at the deep v neckline, all the way down the middle slit and around the hem. The overall look maintained a high level of elegance thanks to the dress’ long train, and the fact that Bey kept her arms covered with loose sleeves. The dress alone was enough to wow us and steal all the attention on the packed red carpet, but when you add the killer accessories…well, let’s just say that Beyoncé’s ability to accessorize appropriately is what makes this look unforgettable. The super star went the unique route by wearing a Givenchy headpiece over her simplistic and sleek low bun, and she finished off the look with Givenchy shoes and Lorrain Schwartz jewelry — on that note, let’s really zoom in to get a closer look at those earrings — absolutely gorgeous. For the record, Jay Z looked quite dapper as well in his tuxedo, and we loved that moment on the red carpet when Beyonce dropped her ring and Jay got down on one knee to fake propose to her (could they be any cuter?) but let’s face facts here, this was the Beyoncé show — no one can wear a dress this sexy and still look regal and classy — am I right or am I right?
