Then, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise spent about $3 million on their wedding, which included an expensive designer suit for Katie. Then we have Kim Kardashian’s first marriage to Kris Humphries, which cost about $10 million, which only lasted for about 72 days. That’s quite a lot of money to spend on a marriage that ended up not lasting very long. When it comes to the longevity of these marriages, one has to consider the quality of the couple’s relationship and whether the amount of money they spent on the wedding was compensating for something lack in the relationship.
But some of the marriages on this list are still going strong, such as Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky, who spent $4.8 million on their nuptials. The couple just welcomed their first child, making Bill and Hillary Clinton first time grandparents. Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s wedding cost $6.5 million. Yvette Prieto and NBA basketball star Michael Jordan spent $10 million on their wedding ceremony. Then, Kim Kardashian’s second marriage to Kanye West (his first marriage) cost about $12 million.
The most expensive wedding on this list is unsurprisingly the most recent royal wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton. As most people know, the royal family of Great Britain is loaded with money, and the weddings and funerals are some of the most watched events around the world. The couple spent about $32 million on security alone, which is a necessary expense if you’re a member of the royal family. The couple is currently expecting their second child, and going strong. Perhaps it is because Will and Kate had been together for so long, and they have yet to forget their roots and realistic living standards is what keeps them together.
