Zayn Collabs With Versace For Clothing Line – Gigi Doesn't Know His Ethnicity?

Zayn Malik is ready to not only look amazing in clothes, but also design them to.
The news is out! Zayn is teaming up with Donatella Versace to design a new collection for the Versus Versace brand. Ummm. YES PLEASE.
We all know that Gigi Hadid is a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world right now. So, it’s only right that her man join by her side as they attempt to become fashion’s new power couple. Zayn and Gigi made headlines when they appeared on the red carpet for the 2016 Met Gala and took the theme to another level. Zayn was dressed by Versace for that event, and he must have made a great impression. Zayn posted this pic to his Instagram saying, Thank you @donatella_versace for welcoming me into the @versus_versace family! The love was thrown right back at him from their instagram when they shared this pic and captioned, “Versus is proud to announce our upcoming fashion collaboration with global superstar @zayn. #ZAYNxVERSUS Stay tuned!” Zayn is beyond excited to work with the brand. He said that “Versace just seeped into my consciousness growing up, possibly through many of my biggest music influences; Prince in the red Versace suit for example, it’s a part of fashion culture and is iconic.
His collection will be a capsule collection that will include both men’s and women’s clothing. It’s expected to drop in May 2017.

Now when you’re part of a power couple, every move you make and everything you say will probably be criticized by at least one person. Gigi is no exception. While in Dubai promoting her collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, she talked in an interview about her strong connection with Zayn because of their middle eastern heritage. She reportedly said, “I especially love it when you meet other Arabs. There’s such a sense of family regardless of whether you are blood related or not anywhere in the world. When someone comes up to me and they tell me, ‘I’m Palestinian’ and we make a connection, it’s beautiful.
My boyfriend is also half Middle Eastern. It’s just a connection that you make that’s really cool. It’s hard to explain but you feel like you’re amongst [your] people.” That’s so sweet. The only problem is that Zayn is half – Pakistani which is in South Asia. Yikes. Fans are definitely voicing their opinions on Twitter. “@jumpingboa0807: ‪@gigihadid‪ ZAYN ISN’T HALF MIDDLE EASTERN HE’S HALF PAKISTANI !!!!!!!! lmao‬”, but Gigi is not bothered and she still has her man by her side.
